Africa and Abandoned Theme Parks

AFRICA-1. On your blog post your reactions to what you read and what you saw. How about 3-4 sentences.
What i saw his pictures are memorizing they capture everything and i like that he said that he waits to take a great picture then take a quick picture and that it doesn't capture them in there nature state. and he cares about whats happening in Africa and whats happing in Africa as well. i also like that he said that its more like a documentary to him.2. Do a google image search for Nick Brandt, find your favorite photo and post it on your blog.

3. Describe it and tell me why its your favorite.
I really like this one because he's trying to explain what was there before we came along and took there home away like he says in the article and he places on of his own photos and adds it to another one of his pictures is another thing i really like.
4. What rules of photography are evident in the photos you selected, be sure to explain the rule to me?
I wanna say that this picture is rule of thirds because the elephant isn't directly in the middle and you can split it in thirds. And there is also simplicity because you can look at the photo and your main focus is the elephant.
Do a google/wikipedia search for Nick Brandt

5. What kind of camera and lens does he use and why is this important?
He used a Pentax 67II with only two fixed lenses. because that being close to the animals make a huge difference in his ability to reveal their personality.
6. What is his reason for taking these photos?
Is showing the animals simply in the state of being. In the state of being before they are no longer are.
7. What is his hope by taking these type of photos?
He wants us to realize what were going that were making these animals disappear before our eyes.
8. Find something he has to say about Africa, and post the quote on your blog.
''The photos are my elegy to these beautiful creatures, to this wrenchingly beautiful world that is steadily, tragically vanishing before our eyes.''

THEME PARK-1. Tell me which amusement park featured in the two articles that you would like to visit and take your camera along and what about that park made you want to go there. Write at least a paragraph.  I want to visit the six flags in new Orleans because the way the photographer took those pictures it just made the amusement park just so creepy like out of a movie and i like things like that i like to be scared so i really liked that creepy vibe. I also want to go there because i like how it also looks like a ghost town to like some crazy stuff went down and thats the finished product.
2. Post one photo from that park. You may use the photos from the link, or you can google an entirely new photo. I would prefer to see a photo of the park in disrepair and not a photo of it when it was still operating.

3. Think of at least FIVE other unusual places you think would be of interest to photographers. List them. 1) Takakanonuma Greenland, Hobara, Japan 2) Shidaka’s Utopia, Beppu, Kyushu, Japan 3) Nara Dreamland, Nara, Japan 4)Spreepark, Berlin, Germany5) Koka Family Land, Shiga, Japan

4. Use google or another search engine to research ONE of your five places and see if anyone has already started documenting that place. If you find that someone has already started - post at least one photo of their work.

5. Write a paragraph about why you think that it would be fun to document that location. Tell me what interests you about that place and what kind of photos you could expect to take there.
I wanted to document this theme park because i like the vibe it gives off the theme park has more potential  then what these photographers are getting they center there photos on the fairs wheel witch its a good photo to take but this ind of theme park has more cool rustic hunted places that would be great photos to get.

6. Tell me what it would take for you to go and take photos at your location. What would you need as far as equipment goes, travel plans, expenses you might encounter and what laws you would have to take into consideration to take photos at your spot.
It would have to be a good day and good lighting and i might encounter some obstacles to get my photos and i also have to be original and cant copy what someone already did.
