 The Real Me
Rebecca Rocha was pregnant at a very young age, lived on her own, only relied on what she could afford at the time when she need someone the most.

"I was very young and in the moment and didn't think that there was anything to it,'' Rebecca said. "I didn't know that I was going to get pregnant at the time thought we used a condom and I didn't take the morning after pill."

Rebecca was naive and very sneaky she was always in trouble and didn't care what anyone thought about her she didn't have many friends and those who where her friends where lucky because she like a lot of people.

"I didn't know her like all personally at the time but I would hear that’s she would all ways getting trouble with her boy friend and was a very independent women,'' Steve said. "Rebecca was a troublemaker and didn't care about the rules she was breaking.''

Rebecca drove her parents insane. They all ways got phones calls and caught her sneaking out with boys and causing a lot of drama with her parents. Rebecca hated her stepmother with every bone in her body. Her step mom and her never got a long they always argued about every little thing.

Her father didn't like the idea of her being pregnant and was very ashamed of her.

"I didn't like that my daughter was pregnant and living under my roof at that she was always sneaking out no wonder she got pregnant am surprised it wasn't younger," Ben Rodriguez said.

" Her and her father had a rocky relationship from time to time,'' Claire Rodriguez said.

Her youngest sister Cassidy was not the person she would count on to keep a secret when she saw Rebecca doing thing she wasn't suppose to.

" I was known as the snitch when I was younger,'' Cassidy said.

Cassidy always look up to her older sister and wanted to be just like her but it didn't work out that way she ended following her own path and dreams but she still looks up to her till this day.

"She wasn't the best role model for her younger sister she wasn't the one to sit at home and do her home work,'' Ben said.

Rebecca was out and about when she hit the age 16 she was barley at the house as it was but she also had a bad attitude inside sources say she would always come home and disrespect her stepmom.

"I was your typical teenager I was rebellious and thought I was an adult though that I was old enough to get a job and raise a family on my own,'' Rebecca said.

Claire Rodriguez was Rebeccas real mom she never saw her often because her dad and mom were divorced so when she told her mom the news she was not happy about it.

" Rebecca was not my only child but she was my only daughter and her getting pregnant at a young age was not okay with me I wanted her to grow up get a carrier and then have a family I didn't need a pregnant daughter that early,'' Claire Rodriguez.

Rebecca was a little scared to tell her mom the new because she was afraid of what her mom would think of her so didn't tell her right away she gave it a couple of weeks to get her story straight to tell her mom.

"I didn't tell my mom right away I was pregnant because I know she wasn't going to except that I was a young girl didn't have my life together or anyway to support my baby because I known if I did it would of just caused drama between us,'' Rebecca said.

Rebecca's dad ended up kicking her out when they found out she was pregnant. She had no where to go so she went to go live her grandma who rested her as if she was her kid help her out with supplies for the baby and a meal for her to eat. Her grandma ended up being like her mom and her dad supporting her all the way.

" I all ways thought to my self if I had lived with my grandma sooner if I would still be pregnant but I known she wouldn't have kicked me out to the curve when I need her the most I could only thank her for all the thing she had did for me back then and I still am thanking her,'' Rebecca said.

She thanked her grandma for every thing she did for her Rebecca wanted to live on her own with the baby coming they were at capacity and if she had lived there and the baby and the father of her kid they would have no room for everything. She found apartment right in front of a sonic.

"If I moved there I wouldn't be that far away from my family while at work,'' Rebecca said. "So she applied for a working position at sonic she could be close to her family and at the time she didn't even have a car so she was saving money for the baby.''

The moment they been preparing for the baby was born on June 6,1994 the day their lives changed forever. The second day they where clear to go home with the baby and she didn't work for a good while so her husband Joe had to work to keep the rent paid after the baby was born it was a struggle to keep the rent pay and take care of the baby. Joe was known by a lot of people his friends and some not his friends. One day Rebecca and Joes life changed

" I was in the kitchen cooking dinner and Joe was in the living room and the window was open and the crazy thing is that we lived on the three floor to while we heard these guys call out Joes name and he got u to go check and when he look out it happen so fast I just remember him laying on the floor with a bullet hole right though his chest that night every thing changed for us."Rebecca said.

She had just witness  her husbands death it was the worst time for all this as they were running low on money and someone to watch the baby she was broken she called nine one one his death was September 5, 1998 at 11:38 p.m. died at the scene.

"He was died at the scene I couldn't live knowing my husband was shot through that window so we moved to the south side in these other apartments I felt empty I thought I would never get over losing my husband but time went one Kirsten was barley going into third grade when another man came in my life," Rebecca said.

Rebecca got pregnant and had another kid she was born February 8, 2001 they named her Faith.

"every thing was different know two kids a died husband and a new husband life but I wouldn't have changed a thing and I wouldn't have had two beautiful children that I love and would be scared to lose." Rebecca said.
